BLUE RIBBON CHURCH REQUIREMENTS

1. Adopt a prevention policy (sample ) that includes:
​
Background checks on volunteers/staff working
with birth-18 year olds. (check out Shepherds Watch)
​
The "Buddy System" where no lone adult is left
with children.
​
Training on the signs of child abuse and the steps to, reporting child abuse as outlined by State Family Code (law).
2. Participate in at least one prevention/relief effort for abused children in your own community annually.
3. Participate in National Blue Sunday Day of Prayer.
Let's be pro-active and adopt a program that protects children, volunteers, and the church itself.
